With over 300 million streams and 12 million social followers, Lagos-via-Peckham superstar Naira Marley is regarded as one of Nigeria’s most notorious Afrobeats and Hip-Hop artists who single handedly created one of the largest cult followings in the world – a community affectionately termed the “Marlians.”

Hailed by NPR Music as “one of the greatest and most celebrated artists performing and producing in the Afrobeat scene today," the President of the Marlian nation is fresh off the release of his long-awaited debut album, God’s Timing’s The Best (GTTB), which was celebrated with official "Marlian Day" activations around the world on May 31, 2022 and went on to become Audiomack’s most streamed album of June 2022.

After years of solidifying his reputation as both the pioneer of Afro/Hip-Hop and a prominent voice of the streets, GTTB marries the raw, unpolished tones of UK rap, the Yoruba language of West Africa, and the sounds of the diaspora, resulting in an uncompromising and unpredictable sonic palette in stark contrast to the saccharine commerciality of the Nigerian AfroPop mainstream. The dynamic record finds the " First Time in America" singer's versatility on full display alongside a list of leading producers like Rexxie, Niphkeyz, Diquenza, LeoBeatz, and Tripsss in addition to high profile collaborations with Jada Kingdom, Busiswa, MHD, and labelmate Zinoleesky.

In support of the project, Naira's given performances at Afro Nation, the largest Afrobeats festival in the world, and made a riveting debut on NPR's Tiny Desk performing as part of their Black Music Month series alongside an A-list lineup including FKA twigs, Usher, Monica, Denzel Curry, and Ravyn Lenae. Later this year, Marley is due to appear on WizKid's highly anticipated More Love Less Ego album.Since his debut in 2014, Naira has been on the road to superstardom. His debut track "Marry Juana" was the first to fuse the slang and accent of his birth city of Lagos with the floor-filling rhythms of Jamaican Bashment – all delivered with the charismatic road swagger of his adopted hometown of Peckham, South London. He's since given electrifying performances at WizKid’s StarBoy Fest @ London’s O2 Arena, formed his own successful independent Marlian Music record label, became the most streamed artist in Nigeria on YouTube (2019-2020), headlined his massive Marlian Fests drawing in audiences of 30,000, and released a series of local chart-topping hits including "Am I A Yahoo Boy" — the infamous satirical track about fraud that saw Naira jailed by the Nigerian government in 2019. Marley's sound has eschewed the saccharine commerciality of the Nigerian AfroPop mainstream, proving that hit records can still be unpredictable, wild affairs.
